I create bespoke tiles and mosaics using my own individual techniques. Each tile and tessera is individually cut from slabs of clay before being painted with a range of pigments that I prepare freshly for each new commission. The pieces are then fired, glazed and then fired again. Commissions range from richly coloured mosaic paintings to specially designed tiles for the home and garden. The tiles and mosaics are made up as wall hangings, splash backs, inlaid into walls, furniture and mirrors. I also cast my tiles and mosaics into concrete blocks for building exteriors or cast into paving slabs and birdbaths for outdoor spaces. I work closely with each client to create pieces that are distinctly individual, creating art which is both functional and beautiful to look at.
